I have experience running my own studio as well as working in recording studios of various sizes. I’m perfectly at home as a live room engineer, tape operator, mixing desk engineer or as a producer, or if the job demands it performing all these roles at once! I love working with bands to produce a track that really captures the personality of all the musicians involved. The processes and challenges involved when working as mixdown engineer are a fantastic way to exercise my audio processing skills, and I love it when I get a chance to throw in some techniques I have developed in my work in electronic music production to get a new sound that compliments the single or album I am working on.

The recording studio is a great place to really hone your skills as a audio engineer because you have the time to really get the most out of the microphones, mixing desks and audio processors at your disposal, in a quiet studio environment specifically designed for recording bands and solo artists. I find that it is in these studio sessions that I really get to know my equipment at a detailed level.
