Jack Wiles - A Freelance Sound Engineer based in London

I am a fully qualified freelance sound engineer/producer working in the London area. After working in the music and audio industry for several years I have a wide range of experience in many different areas of sound engineering. In addition to my services as an engineer in London and other areas I more than happy to offer advice in all areas of audio and music technology; I can help you set up a home or commercial recording studio, or offer guidance on all areas of recording and audio processing.

The world of sound engineering is a broad and exciting one, with many challenges and different roles across varied working environments. Currently I'm available as a sound engineer in London, for work as a tracking or mixing engineer, or for work on location doing live sound or broadcast sound engineering. I've recently started to undertake work on some high profile productions for the BBC, including the One Show, Match of the Day and the coverage of Wimbledon here in London.

I’ve always been passionate about music and audio. I remember first starting to play and record instruments at the age of 13 and beginning my own work in audio production shortly afterwards. I’ve since spent several years studying sound engineering and honing my recording, mixing and mastering skills. I’m always working to improve my knowledge of the audio industry in general to make sure that my work is always at the industry standard for sound reinforcement, recording and audio/music production.
