Once your mix is complete, the final touch is to apply mastering processes to the final mix, to make sure it's ready for distribution.  During the mastering process I employ exacting, and subtle use of Compression, EQ, Stereo Enhancement, Saturation and Limiting to give your track the finish it deserves.

I master in a hybrid studio which offers the precision and workflow of digital production as well as the warmth and real world 'mojo' of analogue equipment.

I offer unlimited revisions (within reason) to ensure that my clients are 100% happy.

WHY MASTER?

The mastering process is essential before a track is ready for release. Here are some of the reasons why your music needs mastering:

Loudness  -  one of the most important considerations in mastering, especially for digital/streaming releases is loudness. I will make sure your tracks conform to all of the industry standard loudness criteria, meaning they are 100% ready to upload to Spotify, iTunes, YouTube and all other platforms.

Cohesion  -  The mastering process acts as a final 'glue' for your mix - bonding all the sonic elements together into a polished, cohesive whole.

Album Consistency -  I consider all of the tracks for your album, single or EP in the context of the whole release.  A good master gives all the individual tracks a unified sound that ties them together for the listener.

A Second Opinion  -  Many engineers like to work with an independent mastering engineer to get a 'second set of ears' across their mix. This can be a valuable way to pick up on any issues that may have been missed at the mixing stage.

Metadata  -  the mastering stage is when metadata, including track tags, album art and CD metadata is embedded in the audio files.
